CBI/Real FD Human Capital awards
by Catherine Woods - Wednesday, 10th October 2007 -
Last night, Real FD recognised the importance of people- and HR-led programmes to UK organisations at our second annual Human Capital awards, held with the CBI and in association with Orange.
The room at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square was chock-full with (cliché alert) winners and, by the end of the night, some also got to go home with a big shiny silver trophy. You can read a run down on who won what here.
Special mention, though, has to go to Vicky O’Dea, the director of Ashfield Young Offenders' Institute, who was named “people’s champion”.
Upon accepting the award she tried to convince us that she was “just the governor” but after hearing how much she’s achieved when it comes to educating both inmates and staff, we all knew better.
Keep an eye out for Vicky’s story, as well as profiles on some of the other winners, on RealFD.net in the coming weeks.
